The Economy is Low–But Customer Expectations Are Still High

Everyone enters just about every situation with some set of expectations.


Case in point: My husband and I recently took our kids to see “Bob the Builder—Live.” (Yes, I know you’re jealous. Get over it.) Before show started my three year old Danny kept asking when the movie would start. We patiently explained over and over that it was actually a show on the stage.

I’m Looking for $3,000,000

I figure I might as well ask. My reasoning is that if advertisers want to flush that kind of cash down the proverbial advertising toilet by running a spot during the Super Bowl, they might as well give it to me (heck, they can even give it to you). I’m sure we’d make better use of their coin. We’re actually giving them a bargain, as then they won’t have to figure in production costs which could double the investment. Seriously, how many products or service do you have to sell to gain an ROI based on that spend? The things we could do with that kind of money. Most of our strategies would go beyond 30 seconds I’m sure. I’d love your insights.
