Miller High Life Offers Up Super Bowl Alternative
Grant Johnson mentioned Miller High Life’s 1 Second Ad campaign last week. I’m just reinforcing that I like it… to a degree.
I think I may have recently blasted Miller High Life’s loyalty program recently, but I can’t find the link. But the 1 Second Ad campaign further reinforces Miller’s brand-positioning as the everyman beer (and in my case, my new recession beer… sorry, Pabst Blue Ribbon, I won’t completely abandon you). Windell Middlebrooks, the actor that plays the Miller High Life deliveryman, asks the simple question: “Who got $3 million?”
The site shows all the one-second ads (some a little longer) that the MillerCoors company came up with. The problem is… they’re not viral! If you want to embed the 30-second spot - or a compilation of the one-second spots, you have to go to YouTube. And I’m sure YouTube doesn’t mind the traffic.

If you like Pabst (I do) you should try Blatz. It’s excellent, seriously. And it’s cheap.

Grant, you just drove me to blatzbeer.com - and I think it’s a great site! Urfortunately the Locator tab tells me it can’t be found in Connecticut. But I’m looking forward to checking out the history of Blatz, and check out the merchandise. Sometimes keeping a site simple is the best way to go, and these guys do it right!
