Porn In The USA
Bruce Springsteen might have been the halftime entertainment at Super Bowl XLIII Sunday night in Tampa. But for an undetermined number of Cardinals’ fans in Tucson, another form of “entertainment” crossed their screens just after star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald scored on a 64-yard touchdown reception with 2:37 left in the game, giving Arizona a 23-20 lead.
Seconds later, many Tucson customers of Comcast cable television saw a 30-second clip from a pornographic movie being broadcast during the Super Bowl telecast. According to the Arizona Daily Star, the clip was from an adult film being shown on another Comcast pay-per-view channel at the time.
According to the newspaper, thousands of Comcast customers saw the 30-second clip. The newspaper received a plethora of calls from irate viewers following the incident. On Tuesday, cable television provider Comcast issued a statement: “We are mortified by the Super Bowl interruption, and we apologize to our customers. We can’t undo what happened, but we remain deeply sorry for the impact this situation has had on our customers.”
Comcast plans to issue a $10 credit to subscribers whose broadcast of the final minutes of the game was interrupted by the pornographic a scene. “While this credit won’t change what happened, we hope that it will demonstrate to our customers, and to the Tucson community, how seriously we are taking this situation,” the statement read. “We are continuing with our investigation into what we believe may have been an isolated, malicious act, and will aggressively pursue all leads until we come to resolution.”

At first I thought you were talking about the crotch shot of Bruce. That had to be more vulgar than Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction.” And no one’s complaining to the FCC about that? lol!
